Brewery International is proud to announce that as of today we will be the sole Swedish distributor of the two Danish brands Indslev Bryggeri and Ugly Duck Brewing Co.

Indslev Bryggeri was founded in 1897 and is today owned by Anders Busse Rasmussen – a descendant of the original founder Frederik Christian Rasmussen.

About the brewery’s mission Anders says: “As a pure wheat beer brand we have made it our mission to take the traditional German and Belgian wheat based beers to places they have never been before. We are determined to show the world that wheat based beer is so much more then Hefeweizens and Witbiers.

We want to prove that if you put your mind and effort into it, you can make almost any beer style you want with wheat and the smoothness that comes with it. The fact that our wheat based stout won a gold medal in the European Beer Star as the only wheat beer competing in the category has made us even more confident that we are on the right track.”

In March 2012 Indslev Bryggeri took on board Martin Jensen – the founder of Raasted Bryghus – and made him develop a new brand and a series of new beers – Ugly Duck Brewing Co. Martin is today in charge of sales of both brands and the further development of the Ugly Duck brand and beers.

About the new brand Martin says: “This is the playground for the brewers and the hatching ground for our wild ideas. We aim to keep a certain balance in our beers, but that does not prohibit us from balancing on the edge. Ugly Duck Brewing Co. has already launched hoppy Pale Ales, IPA’s, a rye Porter, an Imperial Vanilla Coffee Porter, a Belgian inspired strong ale and furthermore we have new beers on the way and casks with bretted beers in the cellar.”

Brewery International has carefully chosen Indslev and Ugly Duck Brewing Co. and we are very happy with the cooperation.

As soon as we are past Christmas, we will start launching the beers around Sweden.
